Farmlife: Quilt Blocks of Memories

The Quilt Blocks of Memories
Where did your family come from? Many Dodge county families trace their history to the Baltic area in northern Europe (now northern Poland and Germany). The family of Martin Frederick Christian emigrated from that area in 1843, before Wisconsin became a state. The Theresa township family farm on Allen Road, purchased by his grandson Wilhelm, has been home to 4 generations of family members. Diane Christian Boehm (author of Farm Life: The Quilt Blocks of Memories) and Rob Bowe (author of many Pionier articles on the history of local families and the region) will present their family stories and the writing questions that led to their research and publications.
Join us for the presentation on September 1st at 6:30 pm.
