NaNoWriMo

November is National Novel Writing Month, aka NaNoWriMo
Writers all over the world take on the outrageous (but doable) goal of producing 50,000 words between November 1 and November 30. Mayville Public Library has joined hands with UW-Madison to offer fun and encouraging opportunities (both virtual and in-person) to help you reach your writing goal.
Drop into our in-person write-ins, where we will offer snacks, writing challenges, and our own brand of writing camaraderie!

NaNoWriMo Virtual Write-in November 1st

NaNoWriMo stands for National Novel Writing Month, and it’s your chance to put that great idea for a novel on paper. The goal of NaNoWriMo is to write 50,000 words in the month of November. Pushing yourself to write so much in one month silences your inner editor and lets your creativity flow.

Participating in NaNoWriMo solo is no fun–but not to worry! Mayville Public Library is collaborating with the Writing Center of the UW-Madison to bring you opportunities join a community of aspiring and accomplished writers. Through workshops, pep talks, community write-ins, and more, you’ll have plenty of chances to meet writers of all abilities, learn writing strategies and tools, and build writing habits. We’ll even celebrate your accomplishments!

Help us kick off NaNoWriMo by attending our first virtual zoom write-in Monday, November 1st at 6 p.m. Register today: https://bit.ly/MVNanoWK1
