Join us for the return of the Genealogy Round Table. At this month’s session, we will discuss how to amp up your research in the New Year! 

The FRIENDS founding officer is stepping down (NOT away!) to pursue a more behind-the-scenes role in supporting the Friends. We still need a president to take the reins. Could it be you? You don’t need to be an officer to be a FRIEND! Become a FRIEND for as little as $10 a year or FREE if you’re a teen! Join us in the Library Meeting Room on the 11th for some coffee, water, snacks, and/or sweets to find out more. Meet some of the other Friends! It’s an exciting time to be involved as a Friend of Mayville Public Library! Not only does the group continue to contribute to Library programming as it has for the past seven years by funding Summer Library Programs, the purchase of Teen materials, and a variety of staff-initiated events and programs. In addition, the group has pledged to set aside 50% of our fundraising for the Teen Section of the new Mayville Public Library.

Join us for the return of Storytime with tales about Mitten Weather. We are offering two opportunities to attend next Wednesday, January 12th. Participants can join in on the cozy fun at 1 p.m. or 6 p.m. Call the library at (920) 387-7910 or visit the library to register.

Spice of the Month Club is back! You can pick up your bag complete with recipes and the mystery spice of the month tomorrow, Saturday, December 11th. Kits will be available until the end of the month or while supplies last. Be sure to tag us in photos of your creation on Instagram @mayvlib 

Join us Wednesday, December 8th for a day of cookie decorating. All ages are welcome!

Calling all Mayville Teens! Join us on Thursday, December 16th at 6 p.m. for a night of origami crafts. Learn how to make origami ornaments to take home or give to a friend.

The November topic for the Genealogy Round Table is “Ask, Show, and Tell”. During this session participants will be given the opportunity to ask research questions, show their great finds, and tell the group more about their family’s history. The group meets at the Mayville Library at 6:30 pm on the fourth Thursday of each month, and the next meeting falls on Thursday, November 18th because of Thanksgiving. Newcomers are always welcome!
