Afternoon Homeschool Hangout – Park Days* – August

Hey Homeschool Families! Last PARK DAY for the summer! August Afternoon Homeschool Hangout is Monday, August 21st from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. We’ll meet at Lion’s point park so the kids can play and enjoy the fresh air and nice weather. If it rains, we’ll meet at the library. Give us a call or message us and let us know your headcount so we can have enough supplies.
This is a low-key way for homeschooling families to meet and make new friends. Drop in when you can, if you can’t stay the whole time or can’t make it right at the start time, no worries!

Dog Days of Summer

Dog Days of Summer stories and craft. Drop in for the morning or evening session! Tuesday morning (August 8th) starting at 10:30 a.m. or Wednesday evening (August 9th) starting at 6 p.m. Ages 4 and up.

Summer Birds Series – Part 2 of 3 – Whooping Crane Recovery

The Summer Bird Series continues at The Mayville Public Library!
The second part of the three-part bird series is Wednesday, July 26th at 6 p.m.
Marsh Haven Nature Center’s Rick Vant Hoff will discuss Whooping Crane Recovery projects. We’ll hear about nesting and flight, migration routes, reintroduction techniques, and more! Join us for this presentation about Whooping cranes and other endangered cranes.

Back by popular demand! Amber Sawyer and her Racehorse Derek! Come hear Derek’s story, meet him in person, and enjoy horse-themed activities.
Join us at the library on Thursday, July 20th at 1:30 p.m. We’re not “horsing around” this event is sure to be a good time!

Summer Reading is Coming Soon!

Registration begins June 7th, with the Kick-Off event on June 12th!

All ages are welcome! Track your minutes and earn prizes as well as entries into the Grand Prize drawing at the end of the summer.

Use Beanstack or a paper log (available at the library) to track your minutes. Make sure to check in with the front desk when redeeming prizes so your grand prize entries get logged! Stop in or call if you have questions. (920) 387-7910
