Pirates Lost at Sea – Talewise Science & Stories
Wednesday, July 20th at 1:30 pm come see Talewise Science and Stories – Pirates Lost at Sea! The adventure takes place at the Mayville Park Pavilion. All ages welcome to attend!
Ahoy there, matey! Set sail with us on a thrilling action-packed adventure about a crew of quirky pirates marooned on a desert island. With mutiny and high-tide looming, they must rescue their salty captain and find a way to repair their ship before all hope is lost … at sea!
Throughout the story, we’ll explore the incredible science behind clouds, physical and chemical changes, air pressure, and more! Volunteers from the audience will help us conduct several hands-on science experiments that ‘ARRR’ sure to amaze you!

July Lego Club! July 20th at 3:30 pm – Come to the library after the Pirates Lost as Sea adventure and build with Legos!
The club meets every third Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. Kids ages 4+ are welcome. Join any time of the year, registration is not needed.

Minivan Mozart Author Event
Coming this Saturday, May 14th at 10:30 am. Local family Chris, Tara, Zola, and Jasper Jay Geier will be coming to the Mayville Public Library to share their book “Minivan Mozart”. They will also lead a craft session to make a mini banjo using recycled materials. All ages are welcome to attend this family event that includes a reading of the book.
