Oceans of Possibilities Scavenger Hunt

Oceans of Possibilities Scavenger Hunt is coming up! Come to the library on Friday, July 22 to get your hunt sheet and map with participating businesses. Scout around town and find all the escaped ocean animals hiding out at the businesses. Complete your hunt sheet with who is where, and then turn it in at the library to win a prize! You will also get an entry in the a special Scavenger Hunt Prize Drawing! All ages are welcome to participate. Completed forms must be returned to the Mayville Library no later than Monday, August 1.

Pirates Lost at Sea – Talewise Science & Stories

Wednesday, July 20th at 1:30 pm come see Talewise Science and Stories – Pirates Lost at Sea! The adventure takes place at the Mayville Park Pavilion. All ages welcome to attend!
Ahoy there, matey! Set sail with us on a thrilling action-packed adventure about a crew of quirky pirates marooned on a desert island. With mutiny and high-tide looming, they must rescue their salty captain and find a way to repair their ship before all hope is lost … at sea!
Throughout the story, we’ll explore the incredible science behind clouds, physical and chemical changes, air pressure, and more! Volunteers from the audience will help us conduct several hands-on science experiments that ‘ARRR’ sure to amaze you!

T3 – Bleach T-Shirts

Calling all TEENS!! T3 is back this month with a fun DIY craft!
Bleach T-shirts are happening here at the Mayville Public Library on Thursday, July 21 at 6 pm. Come have fun making a cool t-shirt! Dazzle your friends with your designs.
REGISTRATION REQUIRED – Sign up by calling or stopping in at the library – We want to ensure we have your preferred t-shirt size on hand.

July Lego Saturday

Lego Saturday is happening at the library on Saturday, July 9 from 9 am to 1 pm. Legos will be provided. No registration needed; just stop in and build. We’d love to see your creations on Facebook and Instagram. Take a picture and share your builds! Tag us and use the hashtag #legosaturdaymayvillepl.

Zoozort

Zoozort Live Animal Program at the Park Pavilion* on Wednesday, July 6th at 1:30 pm. Come be wildly entertained as Noelle teaches us about the animals she brings to visit. More pictures and program information can be found at zoozort.com.

Truly Remarkable Loon

Come join us at the library on Wednesday, June 15 at 1:30 pm for The Truly Remarkable Loon! The comedy juggling show is for ALL ages and is sure to add some laughter to your day!
The performance will take place rain or shine. We will be outside the back of the library if the weather permits.

June Art Display

Help us kick off our Summer Reading Program by participating in our Art Display.
Come to the library to get yourself a blank canvas starting June 1. Available while supplies last.
Design your art with an ocean theme. When you take your canvas home you can decorate it using any artistic medium (paint, crayon, collage, photographs, mixed media, etc.)
Bring it back by June 8 to be on display in the Library for the month of June.
Pick up date for artwork begins June 27.

Minivan Mozart Author Event

Coming this Saturday, May 14th at 10:30 am. Local family Chris, Tara, Zola, and Jasper Jay Geier will be coming to the Mayville Public Library to share their book “Minivan Mozart”. They will also lead a craft session to make a mini banjo using recycled materials. All ages are welcome to attend this family event that includes a reading of the book.
